The train ride to Pitlochry was very scenic. I loved the town and the hotel I stayed at. John and Viv took very good care of me. Geordie was on time picking me up and the hiking was fantastic! I got to experience all of the Scotland mountain weather - sun, rain, wind, and hail - on my first day. You forgot to warn me that Geordie has bionic knees and is a drill sergeant. (At least he got my ass in shape!) Seriously, he was very nice and a great companion to hike with. The second day, was beautiful, sunny weather at Ben Vrackie. I felt like I was in a fairy tale. It was so pretty with the trees, the water, the moss-covered stone walls. It had everything. Unfortunately, a recent knee injury cut the hiking short that day.

But overall, it was mission accomplished. I wanted to get away, do some hiking and totally de-stress. It worked. I am still soooo relaxed.

Thank you for the great getaway and I'll be back in touch soon!
