Monarch of the Glen Weekend - August
Monarch of the Glen Weekend 28th - 31st August Guides: Ali and Richard Patricia, Petra, Jim, Sandy. Conditions: rain and sunshine.

Hello Jon ~ I just wanted to send a note to say that I had a wonderful time with Walkabout Scotland on the Monarch of the Glen Hike. The Scottish Highlands are truly a treasure and I am still in a Highland mode – I could have stayed much, much longer. Richard was a great guide, not just for hiking, but for the area’s backroads and history. Allie was great also.
You will never convince me that Ben Vrackie is a moderate hike! But, thanks to Allie’s guidance, I did make it and have to say I feel a certain accomplishment at crawling/stumbling/limping my way to the summit! And we had a great group with Petra and the Glasgow lads!
I know that Richard took some pictures and am wondering if you could send them by e-mail.
Thanks again and I truly hope to return. (Also, I loved the Craigerne Hotel – Doug and Joanna are marvelous hosts and the atmosphere truly epitomized my vision of the Highlands.
