Ben Ledi Half-Day tour
Guide - Jon Customer - Meg Conditions - First snow of the winter on the summit of Ben Ledi This was one of those trips we run because we need a break from the office too...it was ace!
What a fantastic hike! I wasn't sure what the conditions would be like and overall it was a great combination of a comfortable distance and varied weather elements. The hike started off deceptively sunny, getting wetter and more windy as we gained in elevation, eventually becoming a light snow storm at the summit. Jon was a great guide and I was glad he knew Ben Ledi so well because otherwise I might easily have walked right off the summit, such was the extent of the white-out condition. He helped keep me going every time we hit a false summit and pointed out surrounding mountains and towns with great knowledge and interest. We had fantastic views coming down, with lochs all around and beautiful rays of sunshine poking out between the clouds. It couldn't have been better! I would highly recommend Walkabout Scotland to anyone considering just such an experience. Top notch all around! I will definitely be back for more! Thanks Jon!
